On September 10, Ann Arbor Animal hospital began construction of our new state-of-the-art critical care facility.

When our building was completed in the early 2000s, it had been designed with emergency care as a central part of its function, and our owner recognized the importance of having 24-hour care available in one location. In February of 2012, we started our Critical Care service to better render emergency veterinary care during daytime hours as well. Since then, the demands on our emergency services have increased and we recognized that we had outgrown our current space.

The new ICU will cover over 1100 square feet and will allow us to add more medical and monitoring equipment to our repertoire. This expansion will allow us to treat and hospitalize many more patients, even the most critical ones.

During our renovation we will still be providing the same excellent medical care we always do, with no interruption in our services.

Construction is slated to be completed January 1st. Throughout the project, hospital manager Matt Dyer will be updating the progress and highlighting some of the new medical equipment.
